On normal payrolls, the tax withholding calculation has Iowa withholding but no Minnesota withholding. On a payroll that contains a bonus, the tax withholding calculation has both Iowa & Minnesota withholding.
For the week with normal payroll, Minnesota taxable is not included on the Third Party report and extract file. On the week with bonus payment included, Minnesota taxable & tax is included on the Third Party report and extract file.
The quarterly extract & report do include the total taxable for the entire quarter. The total of all periodic files do not agree with quarterly total taxable.
This is occurring only for scenarios where 1 person is in the state with taxable wages but no tax withholding. If more than one person has the state taxable and that state tax is withhold, the taxable wages are sent for both employees on the periodic extract.
