Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Can the approval be routed based on the calculated hours type also, or is it only based on the reported hours?

In Time card reported time and calculated time section exists.

For ex. If there are two payroll time types, Regular Hours and Regular Overtime.

When entered Regular Hours, based on the rule, it calculated Regular Hours and Regular Overtime.
So, if Regular Hours entered is 10 then the through TCR, 8 hours of Regular Hours and 2 hours of Regular Overtime is calculated.

In the Payroll time card approval, a condition in the LineManagerRule under "TimecardApprovalRules" ruleset

If ApprovalTimeRecordGroup.attributeChar1 equals ignore case "Regular Overtime" ==> Then supervisory hierarchy
This rule is not firing and the time card is getting auto-approved.

However, when ApprovalTimeRecordGroup.attributeChar1 equals ignore case "Regular Hours" ==> Then supervisory hierarchy,
then this is firing and the approvals are going fine.
