Eloqua call to update OSC Contact records is failing with error "The object [N], of class [class java.lang.String], could not be converted to [class java.lang.Boolean]" (Doc ID 2184215.1)

Symptoms

Issue description:

When attempting to run a custom call from Eloqua called "Update Contact" that is meant to update it's linked contact record in OSC,
the following error occurs.

Exception Description: The object [N], of class [class java.lang.String], could not be converted to [class java.lang.Boolean].

 

Issue verification:

Issue can be verified by following below steps:

  1. Go to Eloqua - Integration
  2. Navigate to Outbound - Update Contact call
  3. Search for a Contact record and Test the call
