Testing Connector Returns an HTTP-500 Error (Doc ID 2190996.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 01, 2019

Applies to:

Mobile Cloud Service - Version 16.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In a mobile SOAP or REST connector despite the header parameters are set to XML request, it looks like MCS is still expecting the response in JSON format.
The response shows an error 500, with this detail:

"We encountered a problem while calling the SOAP service... Reason: Bad response: 403 DefaultErrorTemplate from url http://xxxxxxx:7203/... Check the validity of the SOAP Connector configuration."

Similar timeout errors are seen when testing the connection to a remote DB service, however the server is accessible through port 3306.
