Unable to create Contract Line DFF which accepts fractional values

We want to setup a DFF at contract line level to store fractional values such as rate like 83.26.
But unable to do so.

When we try to select the data type as number for contract line DFF segment, the table column attribute
LOV becomes NULL.

Table column should be able to available for 'Number' data type.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to FA
2. Go to setup & maintenance > Manage Discriptive flex fields > search flex field 'Contract Line'
3. Create segment
4.Select data type 'Number' > select table column > No attributes available for Number data type

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot select Number data type for DFF segments.
