Adding/Removing Promotions In Shopping Cart From Agent Console Is Not Being Reflected In Storefront And Vice-Versa

After a shopping cart has been retrieved from Agent console, any promotion code that is added or removed from the shopping cart is not reflected in the Storefront. At the same time, any updates to promotion codes in the Storefront are not being reflected in the same user's profile as viewed in the Agent console.
