Accounts not getting assigned to the parent territory (Doc ID 2200871.1)

Customer has territory setup based on zip code.
Under the US region, they further have child territories named as follows: X, Y and so on.
The X further has two child territories that have the same dimension as it's parent territory. The structure is as follows:


After creating an account with the zip code as mentioned in X, customer checked the team sub-tab to see which territory has been assigned to the account.
They were only able to find the two child territories for the account, but not the parent X. Hence, the parent X was skipped from the assignment.

This issue is happening for all the territories that have been setup in the application.
