Why is my report returning the same number of Activities for all Territories? (Doc ID 2201502.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Technology Management - Reports/Analytics

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
A custom report based on Territories and Activities was created.
The report should display the number of activities completed for a certain Territory.
However, the report is displaying the same number of Activities (the total for all Territories), even when different periods are selected.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
1. The results should be different since different periods are being selected each time the report is run.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create cross-Subject Area report.
2. Use Subject Area "Sales - CRM Sales Activity" and then add "Sales - CRM Sales Account Territory".
3. Follow standard procedure for joining Subject Areas: (Include a Fact from one or both Subject Areas, and Enable Dimensionality on the Advanced tab)
4. Note that the Number of Activities is the same, regardless which period is selected.
