Last updated on MAY 15, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Commerce Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The introduction of Guided Search (GSAdmin) endpoints and configuration in Oracle Commerce Cloud 16.5 presents users with advanced controls over how their application indexes and searches store data.
These new features include index configuration, search interface configuration, and advanced application search configuration.
The goal of this article is to outline one such advanced application configuration: precedence rules.
Precedence rules enable application administrators to limit the presentation of Guided Navigation facets on the storefront.
Through the use of precedence rules, facets can be configured to show all the time, only when relevant, or not at all.
