Error: "Unable to Send Email. The Email Server Configured in Primavera P6 Administrator Is Not Responding. Try Again or Contact Your administrator." When Selecting "Get P6 Mobile" Link in Team Member (Doc ID 2205090.1)

Symptoms

When a user selects the "Get P6 Mobile" link in Team Member the following error is thrown:

ERROR

ALERT
Unable to send email. The email server configured in Primavera P6 Administrator is not responding. Try again or contact your administrator.

STEPS

This issue can be reproduced by the following steps.

  1. Log-in to the P6 Administration Application.
  2. Expand the Team Member Configuration.
  3. Expand Services --> Mail Service.
  4. Configure connection to an SMTP mail service.
  5. Save changes and restart Team Member.
  6. Log-in to Team Member.
  7. Select User dropdown --> "Get P6 Mobile" link.
  8. Select the iphone or android icon under step 1.
  9. Enter email address and click "Send".
  10. Note the error which occurs
