ReasonWonLostCode not updating the value using Groovy Script (Doc ID 2205506.1)

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Opportunities

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Win/Loss Reason field not updated in the UI via groovy script

Need to update the Win/Loss Reason to Won when the Sales Stage is set to "Confirmed". Added a Field Trigger based in Sales Stage that will update the Win/Loss Reason. The script is working fine (there is no errors and the println shows that the field is actually updated to Won) but the value is not showing in the UI.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The Reason value needs to be shown when the Opty Status is set to WON

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigator > Opportunities > Change Status to Won


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot auto populate the Reason code when the Status gets changed to WON
