Maximum Hard Limit Is Reached. Please Reduce The Synch Size - After publishing a new sandbox (Doc ID 2210186.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Microsoft Outlook

Maximum hard limit is reached. Please reduce the synch size.

Customer is receiving the following error message during synchronization in Outlook: "Maximum hard limit is reached. Please reduce the synch size."

This occurred when publishing a new version of the customization (one new field added in custom object). Undoing the latest action doesn't clear the error.

Customer has modified the parameter settings ZOE_MAX_* as follows, and is ready for bounce at any time if that is the solution

Digging in more detail customer noticed the following in log.0000.txt:

statistic for storage 'Remote':
| opportunityResource || 80587 | 0 |

This feels that there are 80587 records for that entity. When trying to open that entity via the AppComposer error ADF Faces 60097 is raised.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a field in custom object and pulled new package to Outlook
2. Error "Maximum hard limit is reached. Please reduce the synch size." is seen during sync
