On : 11.1.10.0.0 version, Activity Management

Activities with required fields written in triggers causing ADF Errors

When creating activities/tasks that contain required fields, if they are not filled out before hitting continue or save, an ADF error occurs. Even if you click OK to the error, then complete the required field, you get stuck in an endless loop of ADF errors and cannot do anything other than close the browser completely.

The fields were marked required using triggers. The fields are only required for some activity types, not all.
