When Navigate Via Contact Icon, Opportunities linked With Contacts Are Not Visible

On : version, Accounts, Contacts, Households

When navigate via Contact Icon, Opportunities affliated with Contacts are not visible.

1) Opportunities affiliated with a specific contact doesn’t show up when navigated via Contact icon to Opportunity from the home page.
2) Yet: If navigated through Accounts Icon, then Opportunity tab, those Opportunities are all there.
3) BI Analysis shows the Opportunities are affiliated with the Contacts

Opportunities should be visible from the Contact pages

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login and navigate to the Sales homepage
2. Select Contacts, search or select a Contact
3. From Contact page, select the Opportunites subtab
4. No opportunities are visible
5. Navigate to Opportunites from Account -> Opportunities are visible.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot efficiently work opportunities.
