Symptoms

P6 EPPM Web -  Scheduling performance

While the below steps are for P6 web, the same scheduling performance may be encountered in P6 Professional client application.

When 2 users (with the same access privileges, etc) are scheduling the SAME project, the performance of scheduling is not consistent.


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Log into P6 web as "user1"
    1. Projects - open a project
    2. Make a change
    3. Schedule the project --> Note the time it takes for scheduling to complete.
  2. Log into P6 web as "user2"
    1. Projects - open the same project
    2. Make a change
    3. Schedule the project --> Note the time it takes for scheduling to complete.
