Need To Insert Historical Term/rehire For Existing Person (Doc ID 2221476.1)

Goal

Question 1) Need to insert historical term/rehire for existing person. Customer had an audit finding that indicated there was missing term/rehire on one person's record. Since a new term and rehire means updated assignment numbers and such, they are not sure the best approach for making this update in the system, or if it is even possible. Can you please advise on what our options might be?

8/21/89 - Orig date of hire (reg sal) - In HCM
1/14/94 - termination – Need to add to HCM
9/27/99 - Rehire (reg sal) – Need to add to HCM

Question 2) Please confirm whether we can terminate a work relationship then hire it with a date that precedes the very first DOH in the system? Would we need to somehow correct the enterprise hire date to the correct hire date? And, can you confirm whether you can terminate a work relationship and insert a period of service that precedes the last rehire date?

Scenario 1: Jane has an enterprise hire date of 01 Jan 2000 and her first hire record is dated 01 Jan 2000. However, the company received information that a prior period of service was not entered/converted into our system and must be to comply with retirement regulations. She should have a period of service from 01 May 1990 to 31 Dec 1995.

If we terminated her current work relationship, would the system allow us to add the period of service for 1990 through 1995? If so, what are the steps?

Scenario 2: Joe is a currently active employee with multiple periods of service (he's come and gone a bit). In the system he has work relationships for the following periods:

01 Jan 2000 through 25 Jun 2002
01 May 2005 through 31 Dec 2007
01 Jun 2012 through 01 Aug 2014
01 Feb 2016 to present (current work relationship)

The company received information that a prior period of service was not entered/converted into our system and must be to comply with retirement regulations. That period of service is 01 Nov 2009 through 31 Dec 2010.

If we terminated his current work relationship, would the system allow us to add the period of service for 2009 through 2010? If so, what are the steps?
