Java Error: "oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Data Model definition not found" When Running Custom Print in Unifier (Doc ID 2221491.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run a custom print, a Java Error is received on the User Interface. When the Unifier log is reviewed, an error similar to the following can be observed:

[2016-08-24T15:25:12.221-04:00] [server_name] [WARNING] [] [] [tid: xxxxx] [userId: ] [ecid:] [APP: bipublisher 11.1.1] oracle.xdo.server.ReportException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Data Model definition not found:/<DATASOURCE_NAME>/<DIR>/<REPORT_NAME>

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open a Shell/Project
  2. Open a BP with a custom print
  3. Click File -> Print Preview -> Custom
  4. Run your custom print that was created under Custom Reports.
  5. Receive a Java Error

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot run custom prints without seeing the error.
