Fusion Global HR: Approval request was reassigned by Web Services Application Identify (HCM)

A create position request was raised in some time ago (e.g. March 2016), but it was not approved and has remained in pending approval status.
Recently, an approver received an email to suggest the approval request was reassigned by Web Services Application Identify (HCM).
Is there a process or configuration task that automatically reassigns unapproved positions? Can you provide further information? We have not received the same for any other old positions.
