Field update not working through Object Workflows

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Opportunities

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Object workflow is not working when trying to perform field update during the creation of the Opportunity record. There is no additional condition specified in the Object Workflow.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Object workflow should update the field

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Create Opportunity and the field supposed to be updated is not getting updated.
