When You Add A Resource To An Appointment, You Later Get An Email Saying That The Invite Failed

When we add a resource to an existing activity ( appointment ) , the host of the appointment later receives an error email saying that the invite is invalid
The expected functionality is that the resource should receive an email notification that he/she has been added to the appointment.
The error email comes within 15 minutes of the event. We are currently working with the @abcam.com domian
Please confirm if emails on activity object have been disabled? How do we enable this functionality
