Contact Custom Saved Search With Checkbox Field Not Working As Expected.

Symptoms

Customer is using a custom field (checkbox) for Contact displayed InactiveContact.
Customer has a updated the value of the checkbox for a test Contact as InactiveContact - checked.
But on the Contact search page where the custom field is displayed on the default custom search the user is able to see the test Contact displayed when he goes on the Contact page.
The Search list is displaying Contacts with InactiveContact unchecked that should not be displayed.

Due to this issue, the users that use this search list are having unexpected results.
