Fusion Applications - BI Publisher - Export Excel - Records > 65000 / 65K - Open Excel - Give Recover Message / The File is corrupt and cannot be Opened

Symptoms

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Technology Management - Reports/Analytics

When attempting to Open Excel Sheet that contains record count more then > 65K,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Open the Excel generated by BIP > below message displays:

Microsoft Excel
--------
We found a problem with some content in 'Salary Revision Worksheet Report_Output (2).xls'. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.

Click on Yes displays the below message:

Microsoft Excel

The file is corrupted and cannot be opened.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Build Excel Template
2. Upload it to BI Server
3. Run Report, it downloads an Excel Sheet that contains entire data
4. Open the Excel generated by BIP > below message displays:

Microsoft Excel

We found a problem with some content in 'Salary Revision Worksheet Report_Output (2).xls'. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.
