Customer Import Using Automation Loads Junk Characters (Doc ID 2241187.1)

The .csv and .zip files for import are generated using Automation process (third-party system - not from the template).

In the .csv file, the non-english characters appear correctly. However when imported and queried in the system, the customer name shows junk characters. Why ?
