Oracle recommendation for Activity Workflows

The customer requirement is :

When a activity is created, according your type the Oracle Sales Cloud need send a email to Contact associated to this Activity.

I would like help about my doubts below:

1) What are the Oracle recommendation, one workflow to one email template or one workflow with some templates with rules condicionals?

2) How the sending of the email is documented After the workflow execution and email sent? Does Oracle Sales Cloud create a child activity with the email to register with history?
