Information in this document applies to any platform.
Business Requirement is to fetch the Partner attachments which are uploaded for a custom Child object of the Partner - PartnerChildInformation. The detailed requirement is as below :
There is a custom child object of Partner with name - PartnerChildInformation.
This child object has different fields exposed on the UI like Product Category, Parent Supportive, Payable, Tier, etc.
The user can change any of these fields and will upload a supporting attachment for these changes.
As there is no way to have the leverage of attaaching the documents in the custom child Object (PartnerChildInformation), the user will be uploading the attachment to the Partner Profile as a workaround.
Our requirement is to fetch these documents in a BIP Report. The trouble here is to identify which document has been uploaded for which change in the custom object.
Also, the Partner Profile can have other general attachments as well.
Example - There is a Partner with name ABC and the partner profile already has an attachment with name XYZ.
Now, the user navigates to the PartnerChildInformation for this partner and changes the value of Parent Supportive, Payable and Tier fields.
The user saves the record and at the same time, uploads an attachment to the Partner Profile with name LMN.
At this point of time, the Partner ABC is having 2 attachments - XYZ and LMN.
Requirement is to identify this LMN attachment - when it was uploaded and for which change in the custom object (PartnerChildInformation).
Is there a possibility to specify the attachment type while uploading it to the Partner Profile?
As per the current functionality, there is a Type field in the attachment window which is static and has only 2 values - File, URL .
Is it possible to customize this Type dropdown to include some custom values like Child so that Child related attachments can be segregated?
