Issue seems like data corruption.

Customer is using a Fact column in an OTBI report, but the Fact column is showing a negative value for certain transaction records.

"Sales - CRM MDF Request"."MDF Request Fact"."Fund Requested Amount" is the Fact column in question.

They tried to query the BI tables as well for the same column, but it seems to have the correct value saved.

The customer's BI currency preference is "Default - ", which is equivalent to "User Preferred Currency using Simple Currency Management". The customer's Fund Requests having negative Fund Request transaction (Fact column) amounts have 'CAD' as their currency of these transactions.
Customer's global, or CRM currency (ZCA_COMMON_CURRENCY) is USD.

Fact column in BI Subject Area should show the correct values.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Run an analysis using Logical SQL similar to the following:
"Sales - CRM MDF Request"."MDF Request Fact"."Fund Requested Amount" s_1,
  "Sales - CRM MDF Request"

Issue appears to be data corruption.
Issue seems to affect only users who
