“Uncaught Exception” Error When Working With Lists

We have received the below fatal message quite a few times when working in Lists.

Error: Originating at /OnDemand/user/AccountList
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

The error should not be displayed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login with any role.
2. Re-order the column by dragging and dropping it.
3. Navigate to the Account homepage; click on the “View all CM Accounts” or “View all Accounts''
4. Consulting/Firms” link or “View CD Accounts” link. click on an Account, to access the record directly from the List.
5.. click on the “Back to Account/Firm list” hyperlink to go back to the list after viewing the Account
6. Frequently receive uncaught exception.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are unable to rearrange columns in lists using drag and drop functionality.
