Fusion Applications - Analysis - Export tO > Excel 2003 OR 2007+ Format - Open The Exported Excel Sheet - Error - Show Recover OR Corrupt

Symptoms

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Technology Management - Reports/Analytics

When attempting to export report output to Excel,
the following error occurs.

We found a problem with some content in "Performance Report Detail.xlsx". Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.

After clicking on Yes button we are getting below pop up window and report gets opened.

Repairs to 'Performance Report Detail.xlsx'

Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content.

MS Excel 2003 Export Error :

The file format and extension of 'Performance Report Details.xls' don't match. The file could be corupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open it anyway?

After clicking on Yes button report is getting opened but it appears some formatting is gone and some data is removed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

2. OBIEE Answers > Criteria > Column > Format > DATA format > override checkbox to yes > Treat text as HTML

3. Now Export the data to Excel

4. Data is Exported to Excel successfully.

5. Try to open the Excel Sheet and we observe the errors specified as above.
