Opportunity Revenue Owner
How the out-of-the-box Ownership concept is for Opportunity Revenue Line Items.
On the Opportunity Level there is an Owner field available, which you can:
* expose on the Simplified UI
* expose in Opportunity Reports
On the Revenue Line Items, there is also an "owner" in the Background, tied to this particular record.
However this "owner" cannot be exposed in Simplified UI - does not even Show up in the Standard Fields list in Application Composer. On the other Hand, you can expose it in Reports (i.e Opportunity and Products RealTime).
We would like to understand the System logic in populating this OOTB Revenue Line Item Owner. Particularly, how is it populated upon creation of new Opportunity Line Items. Is that taken automatically from the Opportunity Owner or is it based on the Current User that creates the new Revenue Line Items.
Further more, if it is based on Opportunity Owner, what happens when the Opportunity Owner is changed? Does the new Opportunity Owner gets reflected onto the Revenue Line Item Owner automatically?
Since we are now analyzing a new ownership concept for Oppties and their Revenues, we Need to first understand how the Revenue Ownership built-in logic is designed.
