Unable To Save Document Designer Template[Preparing Template For Saving]

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to save a template in Document Designer after a text element was edited, a continuous loading dialog box with the message, "Preparing template for saving..." appears.
This behavior is only present for some text elements, not for all of them.
An upgrade to 2016 R1 recently occurred.
