Error 'The application and database versions do not match' and the Current Database Version Is Blank When Logging in to P6 Professional (Doc ID 2252015.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to login to P6 Professional application using P6ProCloudConnect Driver, the following error intermittently occurs:

The application and database versions do not match.
Click Exit to close the application.

Primavera P6 Professional
Expected database version:
   PMDB,####.####.####
Current database version:
   <blank>

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch P6 Pro client and login.
2. Observe the reported error.
