Users Cannot Be Identified As Resources In The Resource Directory

User cannot be identified as resources in the Resource Directory
Customer has a user that cannot be found when trying to identify them as resources in the resource directory.
In the identify resources search it is mandatory to select if the user is either an employee or a contingent worker (usage). User has been contingent workers initially and has later been employed. However their usage appeared as blank. Customer has tried to change their usage setting to employee in OIM but it has not helped the issue.
