We have terminated an employee and issued a P45 for 31/3/2017.
We have then processed an after leaver payment for the employee for 31/5/2017, however the NI calculation is based on a monthly NI basis not weekly.
The payment made is a Company Bonus, which is set up as a Regular earnings element (as opposed to Irregular Earnings), however we expected that the NI calculation would be overridden and calculate on a weekly basis if the payment is after the P45 has been issued. In addition how would the solution treat the NI calculation if it was a backdated change to salary which is also set up as a Regular Earnings, as the arrears element is also set up as a Regular Earnings, but the payment is made after the employee has left?
