How to Disable the Repeating Process for Scheduled File Import Jobs

Customer runs imports through CSV files nightly. These are scheduled imports.
Some of the imports complete, but sometimes they have warnings or errors and the system tries to rerun the import jobs multiple times.
The customer can only use a file one time because once the import runs it assigns a process id number to the file and does not allow for them to use it again, but the imports try to run multiple times and become unsuccessful.
Customer's requirement is that when a scheduled import fails that it NOT try to rerun. They want to stop the additional runs from occurring. Can that be done?
