Baseline Project Activity Dates Are Not Updated After Running The Update Baseline Tool. (Doc ID 2261540.1)

Symptoms

While attempting to use Update Baseline, the Maintain Baseline process fails to update the Activity dates, duration, and data date of the the Baseline Project when restored and reviewed.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The Baseline dates should be updated during the Maintain Baseline, Update procedure.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open the Baseline schedule.
  2. Open the Projects:'Maintain Baselines' menu.
  3. Click 'Add', Save copy of the current Project as a new Baseline, and name the Baseline accordingly
  4. Highlight the Baseline, select Restore, Yes.
  5. Open the Current schedule.
  6. Open the Projects:'Maintain Baselines' menu.
  7. Click Add, Convert another Project to a new Baseline of the current Project, select the Baseline, click '+'.
  8. Highlight the Baseline and click update.
  9. To Import only Progress, select Specify Activities within the following filter (Filter should be set to Any Activities that match Filters Completed and In-Progress) or select all Activities.
  10. Check Update existing Activities already in Baseline.
  11. Click Update Options.
  12. Check select Dates, duration, and data date.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Check Log to file (specify location).
  15. Uncheck Run Optimized.
  16. Click Update.
  17. Review the Update Baseline Log file.
  18. Exit the Update menu.
  19. In the Maintain Baseline Menu, select Restore to unattach the Baseline.
  20. Open the restored Baseline and hit F9 to schedule.
