When attempting to save an opty
the following error occurs Too many records returned

Too many matching records found. Specify additional criteria to limit the number of records.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Sales Cloud
2. Navigate to a certain Opty
3. Update comments
4. Save record
5. Getting an error

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot save opty
