Security Prompt 'Do you want to run this application?' When Loading an Applet in P6 Web (Doc ID 2263381.1)

Symptoms

When loading an applet in P6 Web for the first time (either in a new deployment or a patched environment), the following Java security prompt displays:

Do you want to run this application?

Name:  Primavera
Publisher:  Oracle America, Inc
Location:  $P6_Site

The application will run with unrestricted access which may put your computer and personal information at risk.  Run this application only if you trust the location and publisher above.

A checkbox also displays for the prompt:

Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. Login to P6 Web in a new or patched context.
  2. Open an applet.
  3. The reported security prompt displays.
