Rel12: Lead To Deal Registration Only Works If The Partner Created The Lead (Doc ID 2264031.1)

Environment Version: 11.1.12.1.0


PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Testing the new functionality with a Partner Administrator user when found that the Register new Deal button on the Deal registration tab is only active if the Partner user created the Lead record themselves. This is even if the Partner user has been made Owner of the lead, or Primary resource on the associated account.

Would expect that if a partner has been assigned to a Lead by a channel user or sales administrator, they should be able to register a Lead as a Deal regardless of whether it was created by an Internal or External resource.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Log in as Sales Administrator > Navigator > Leads > Create Lead > Add Account to Lead > Set Primary Partner > Set Partner Administrator of Primary Partner as Owner of the Lead

Log in as Primary Partner > Navigate to Leads > Open Lead user was assigned to > go to Deal Registration Tab > Register New Deal action is greyed out.

Expected result

If a Partner has been assigned to a Lead by an Internal user to an internally created Lead, the Partner should have the permission to Register the Lead as a Deal.
