When self-assigning life events, can we have validation on the Occurred DATE field

Customer wants to put a validation on the date (occurred date field) on the Record Life Events task from Benefits Self service.
The requirement is that the employee shouldn't be able to enter any dates in the past (i.e before the system date).
He/she should only be able to enter today's date in the occurred date field.

Can you please let us know where can we configure this or how can we address this requirement?
