 In the Structure, customer have renamed "My Team -> Performance' link to 'Objectives' & moved it to the 'Top Category', made this to appear in the homepage as an icon and in the navigator. Customer have an expression language for both the display for navigator and springboard as '#{(securityContext.userInRole['CUSTOM_MANAGER'] || securityContext.userInRole['TOOL_ADMIN'])}

It was working as expected & was getting displayed from the navigator icon.

After R12 upgrade, if an user is only a manger and an employee (security roles:CUSTOM_MANAGER and CUSTOM_EMPLOYEE), the user is not able to see the icon or the navigator link when the user is on Homepage.
But if the user move to some other pages like 'Goals' page & then the user click on Navigator icon, the user could see the link available in the Menu list.

 Upgrade to fusion application release 12
