Enable Dimension And Metrics Fails To Load (Doc ID 2267754.1)

On : version, Territory Management, Quotas

We are trying to setup territory for accounts, using the following dimensions: Geography, Custom auxiliary dimension, and Named Account. 

On running Enable metrics and dimension after updating the classification categories the process failed.

Loading took 7 hours to load the dimensions 5.3 million, and then fails on the sorting of the 150 dimensions.

JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null: null
[2017/05/09 13:39:21]   Process completed with status - BIZ_ERROR

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Sales Cloud
2. Sales> Territories> Enable Dimensions and Metrics
3. Actions> Load

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, dimensions cannot be loaded and activated.
