The CreationDateFormatted Is Not Displaying Date In Sales Lead Workflow Email

The CreationDateFormatted inserted into e-mail template for Lead Workflow notification is not displaying the date when notification is sent.
1. Navigate to Application Composer
2. Create an email template
3. Insert the CreationDateFormatted field into the email temlate
4. Associate the template to a Lead Workflow
5. Trigger the Workflow notification to send the e-mail
