When selecting two contacts from the UI and then clicking Actions > Merge Selected Contact or Merge Selected Account, the merge process is executed automatically. When executing a Duplicate Identification Batch process it identifies the possible Duplicates that have a similarity score greater than 50 but when going to Duplicate Resolution, the process is always in new state; the merge is not performed automatically.
