Fusion Global HCM: R12 Grade Not Synchronized From Position

Position XYZ had ‘M2’ as a valid grade earlier.
Valid Grades in Position is updated to M1 from M2 from 01-Jan-2017
Position Synchronization is enabled as Enterprise level.
Since Position Synchronization is enabled, incumbent assignment is also updated.
When we check in Manage Employment on 28-Feb-2017, we still see the grade as M2.
When we click on Edit > Correct, system shows M1.
Assignment History shows that there is a change in the action however, the Grade is not correctly updated.
When we run the queries, the assignment is updated with new action but the values are not.
Grade should synchronize from position
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Change "Valid Grade" at position level
2. Go to Manage Employment for an employee
3. Grade is not correctly updated
4. Go to "Edit" mode at assignment level -> the Grade is ok.
5. Check the database table -> the Grade is not ok.
