Information in this document applies to any platform.

Some of our supplier names have asterisks in them.

When using their name in a filter, OTBI treats the asterisk as a wildcard and converts it to a % in the SQL shipped off to the database. Is there a way to turn this "featuree" off?

Here is a snippet of the SQL that gets sent to the database:

Test case

Operator LIKE, Contain all, Contain any works, but if customer have data some like

Supplier name             Invoice Type name                Amount

Abc*                           Standard                                100
Abcdef                        Standard                                  50
Abczzz                        Standard                                300

In this case if we use any of the Operator LIKE, Contain all, Contain any and select the supplier filter Abc*, it is going to display all the 3 suppliers.
If we take the Supplier name from the report output, in this case the report will be showing incorrect date instead of 100, it will be displaying 450 for the Abc* filter Invoice Type name Amount Standard 450
