Team Members / Owners Cannot Be Assigned To Partners Imported Through Data Load

Goal

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Partner Management

Team members / Owners cannot be assigned to Partners imported through Data Load

We have imported partners through the data load process. These partners have no owners in the system.

We are not being able to add team members to these partners. Hence we cannot assign owners to these partners.
However we are successfully being able to do this for partners that already have owners since they were created through the UI.

How to resolve this?
