Outlook: Cannot Customize Values For Task Status Field (Doc ID 2287198.1)

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Microsoft Outlook

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Outlook: cannot manage custom values for activity status field

Customer has customized the values of the standard activity status lookup ZMM_ACTIVITY_STATUS_CD.

Some custom values are added and some meaning are renamed. But none of the changes are reflected on Outlook Task status field.

How can we change the Outlook layout in order to keep these picklists in sync?

It's not possible to change codes and meanings of the Outlook values. They are somehow hard-coded.
We cannot remove the OOTB task status status from the layout and add it again in a custom section.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Customer expects the same lookup values to be displayed in Outlook as in SUI when creating task

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup and Maintenance > Manage Activity Standard Lookups > Update ZMM_ACTIVITY STATUS CD to add new values
2. In Outlook > Create Task page > Status field does not reflect the changes in this lookup. The list is static and cannot be modified.

Due to this issue, users cannot see the same values in Outlook as in OSC for Creating task
