CSV Import Tool Is Not Working When Attempting To Update Product Custom Properties (Doc ID 2291140.1)

If the customer encounters an issue with importing CSV files to make changes to custom properties (Custom Attributes), the issue may be in how they formatted and what columns they included in their import file. To import custom property changes, there are specific rules to follow.



In my testing, i used 'camera' as the item type, and I created a custom property on cameras called "textDescription". Below is the CSV file that I was duplicate this issue and even though I was able to import the file, no changes were made and you can see that in the validation details. You can use this example (Below) to compare the contents of the customers CSV file and determine if the 'type' column is missing.
