Unable to Place Cursor in Some Areas or Unwanted Gaps in a Document in Document Engine

Information in this document applies to any platform.
In Document Engine inside a Complex Conditional there might be areas (like table cells) where one cannot click to add or edit the content. Additionally, the documents using the Complex Conditional might display gaps that shouldn't be there.
These two problems, even if not concomitant, have a common cause, relating to the hidden HTML structure of the document.
The blank spaces that appear in the previewed or exported document though they are not visible in the UI are due to some <p> HTML tags containing hidden <span> tags - these generally contain styling for elements that were erased previously by the user.
Inability to place cursor can be caused by missing <p> tags from the HTML page structure.
