Custom DCL fields not working correctly (Doc ID 2293359.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 02, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud Service - Version 11.1.11.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Opportunities

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When entering an opportunity, click Save and Continue to Save the opportunity and add revenue lines. The opportunity appears to save, no error messages are presented.

A product can be added to the revenue line, but no custom fields are able to be entered on the revenue line, quantity is not able to be entered, etc. Clicking Save at this point causes an error from a custom groovy script to appear saying that a custom field ( Commodity) in the opportunity header does not have a value. However, that field has a value that was selected at time of entering the opportunity header.

If the user now clicks Cancel, the opportunity header has been saved and the opportunity is present in the My Opportunities List. Upon reopening the opportunity, the user can now add revenue lines without issue with no errors at all.
This same functionality is true if the user uses the Save and Close button, then re-opens the opportunity and adds revenue lines.

It appears that the Save and Continue is not correctly saving the header, and any custom groovy scripts referencing the values of the opportunity header fields only retrieve null values.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Create a new Opportunity and click Save and continue
Then, add a new Product line item – tried to fill-out the Product Name start with letter which is from Commodity value, click on custom DCL fields “Grade” and “Equivalent Size Group” and these fields SHOULD working

STEPS
-----------------------
Create a new Opportunity and click Save and continue
Then, add a new Product line item – tried to fill-out the Product Name start with letter which is from Commodity value, click on custom DCL fields “Grade” and “Equivalent Size Group” and these fields are not working
If customer clicks Cancel and then drill down on above created Opty, adding the Product line will working fine
